Our 2022 Retrospective

THE MAGIC OF LAST YEARS IMPACT FESTIVAL

100+ speakers and 90 pitches

On the IMPACT STAGE 2022 keynotes and panels with more than 100 speakers provided content-related impulses and insights. Along the seven Innovation Areas of the IMPACT FESTIVAL, the speakers talked about the current situation and possible future of the sustainable transformation. The Innovation Stage offered selected start-ups a stage to present their company in a three-minute pitch. Subsequent questions provided further details about the start-up and its business model.

Fostering collaboration

Participatory masterclasses gave visitors the opportunity to discuss today’s challenges with leading experts. Each session had a limited number of participants to ensure an interactive format with inspiring results.

Exhibition with 170+ solutions

Starting in 2021, visitors of the IMPACT FESTIVAL had the opportunity to get to know the most innovative solutions for sustainable and digital change in an exhibition. In 2022, more than 170 start-ups presented their business models in the exhibition area. Thematically, they were divided based on the seven innovation areas of the event.

IMPACT AWARD

The IMPACT AWARD was founded in 2021 in close cooperation between the IMPACT FESTIVAL and UNO INO eG and awarded for the second time in a row in 2022. The aim of the award is to recognize European start-ups that address pressing societal challenges through sustainable technology and innovation.

IMPACT WEEK

The IMPACT WEEK offered an extensive supporting program in 2021 and 2022 shortly before the IMPACT FESTIVAL. Partners, citizens, initiatives, companies, municipalities and institutions from the region came together to make a valuable contribution to the sustainable shaping of our society and economy with their own events.

Zero waste and zero carbon

An innovative less-waste-food-concept offered vegan specialties on reusable tableware on site. Exhibitor Knärzje provided us with his innovative bread beer in both years, which actively tackles the problem of food waste. The entire event was realized with as few emissions as possible in cooperation with ClimateSeed. Remaining emissions were offset through donations to selected projects.
